response to comments

i cut out the pinion bump stop (it was mounted where those holes are) for the third link and will be cutting the trunk to fit the rest. i like the lowered look too much to raise it back up just to clear suspension. HAHA.

the plate in theory was supposed to protect form the heat of the exhaust and keep it cleaner.

what kind of info do you want to see on the front suspension.

  1. Ok. That makes sense.

Keep it cleaner. Yes, the pictures I took of the front of my cell box where the pump and filters are located is pretty dirty on my own car already.

I'm starting a blog site of my Mustang so I can post some photos.

Need to snap some pics of the actual car...

On the front suspension; I've been able to source the parts except the upper ball joint holder (can only find ones with one ear, not two) and the pivot shaft where the UCA mounts to the tower. Also wondering what you did for an upper shock mount.

    Thanks.

  2. i made the two ear ball joint mount. i bought a ball joint mount with no tabs and welded tabs on where i wanted them.
the upper mount is from ron morris. i got a good deal on it and am planning on making one from aluminum.

  4. off the shelf piece from TCP, $25 each. I couldnt build it for that cheap.

but a 1" square bar of aluminum would work. two holes at 3.75" spacing for the UCA bolts. then a 5/8-18 tapped hole in the end of each bar. the length of the bar would be about 6" or whatever worked best for your UCA.

  5. Had looked at TCP for parts/pieces. Saw their new MKII arm uses dropped pivot shaft and that it is possible to buy that piece seperate. But didn't see the straight shaft listed.

Thanks again for the info. Couldn't tell if what you were using was straight (in plan view) or angled on the ends to put less stress on the rod ends for the legs of the "A".
